Fall Leaves Word Sort

As I headed out with Hubs for an 11 mile training run this morning (in preparation for the Indianapolis Monumental Half Marathon on November 3) something really strange happened: I.could.not.run. I mean, at all. There was no gas in the tank. I wanted to lay down in a big colorful pile of leaves and take a nap. Sooooo, my 11 mile run turned into a 5 mile walk. I started to beat myself up about it, but then decided to enjoy the beautiful scenery and some alone time to hubby instead.

This morning's pitiful display change in plans gave me a chance to update my blog and share a fall leaves short e word sort center that I made last week. It includes a recording sheet.  Happy fall!

I love your activities. I have been wondering how to make these activity sheets? I know you mentioned powerpoint and I know some people use PDFs. But where do you get the clip art and how can you write in them? Thanks for any help you can provide.

I use Powerpoint to create my activities. When they are complete I save them as PDF's. Just click "save as" and PDF should appear in the drop down menu. It's a lot easier than you think. I purchase the clip art online. I like to purchase from Etsy. You have to look at the terms of use. Some will let you create freebies to share and others will not. My favorite vendor is Goodness and Fun. Many times she will offer buy 2, get 2 free. The last time that I purchased I got 4 sets for $10. As far as writing in them, I don't. I write on top of them. In Powerpoint you have to use text boxes to type. I insert a text box and then place it over the clip art. Tinker around with it a bit. Try working clip art in the program till you get the hang of it. If you have more questions send me an email. I'll be glad to help.

I hope you got back to your running but we certainly benefited from your outing! I run as well, although I don't think I'll ever do anything that has the word marathon it it! Thanks so much for your wonderful work!
